Sandton Healthcare services provide high-quality accommodation for individuals needing supported living services.  We work collaboratively with housing associations and professionals to ensure that the process and transition is smooth and without complication.  We carry out individual assessments to understand individual needs and work together with external agencies so that we can achieve the best possible outcomes defined in the support plans we create for every individual.

We have a holistic approach when providing support. We aim to empower individuals by encouraging social interaction, community access and improving communication skills. 

We work at each individuals pace to encourage independence and support people to gain confidence and live happy and fulfilling lives they choose in comfortable and homely settings. 

We offer both Community and Supported Living Services

We are experienced and specialists in supporting individuals with mild, moderate, or severe learning disabilities.

Our support plans are tailored to each individual's needs and include are available in Easy Read formats.  Our planning includes a "communication support section, "about me" and a "medical passport". 

We also plan and offer support with transitions as we know change can be difficult. 

We understand that every individual has specific needs, choices and preferences.  Every person is unique and this is why we cater for every person as an individual. 

Our personalised support emphasises empowerment, independence. confidence,  active participation, and improved quality of life.

Sandton Healthcare is nurse led and provides comprehensive support for  individuals with moderate or mild mental health needs.

We focus on improving self-confidence and enhancing emotional well-being.

We have an amazing team of trained support workers who are experienced in supporting individuals with a variety of mental health issues that include schizophrenia, personality disorders, and addictions.

We support children and adults with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). 

We tailor our support to the individuals' particular needs, with a large emphasis on communication and supporting behaviours and anxieties.

We understand the importance of continuity and keeping change to a minimum.  We set realist and achievable goals and celebrate achievements together. 

We provide support to individuals with mild to profound and multiple disabilities. Our Support workers will deliver the appropriate level of assistance, which includes assistance help with mobility, personal care, and communication.  We are nurse led and this enables us to have excellent understanding of the clinical aspects of care as well as the practical elements. 

We work collaboratively with other professionals including GP's, District nurses OT's and therapists to achieve best possible outcomes for every individual we support. 

Quality Staff

We ensure that all our Care staff are thoroughly vetted and have Enhanced DBS checks carried out prior to working in the community.  Safety First ! 

Our staff are required to complete thorough training and induction to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide safe and reliable support.

We also provide ongoing training programs and staff development opportunities. We have clear policies and procedures in place to ensure that all staff have share our values and they are embedded in how they provide care services.

Our Comprehensive Approach

We work closely with other healthcare professionals such as housing associations, Social services. Local Council, GP’s, speech and language therapists, and other services to ensure that your support is comprehensive and holistic.  We take into account:

  • Future aspirations and goals
  • Choices and wishes 
  • Cultural and religious needs and preferences
  • Likes and interests

Our Comprehensive Approach

  • Supporting to access the community and opportunities to access hobbies or interests.
  • Assistance in sourcing employment either paid or voluntary.
  • Support with management of personal care and medication.
  • Encouraging improvement of daily living skills such as cooking, paying bills, cleaning, and shopping.

  • Re-engagement with education and learning.
  • Maintaining a tenancy and dealing with correspondence.
